Namecheap’s Move Your Domain Day 2015

I’m all for supporting good causes, so I wanted to share info on the annual Move Your Domain Day promo from Namecheap.

Move Your Domain Day was launched in 2011 by Namecheap to support Internet freedom and online privacy for all. MYDD is a win-win-win situation in my opinion. The customer gets a great deal on domain registrations for a couple of years, Namecheap gains new customers, and EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) receives a nice donation to continue their fight for Internet liberties.

This year, Move Your Domain Day falls on January 27.

The Offers:

  • Use coupon code, NC15MYDD, to transfer your domains over to Namecheap for only $3.98 each. For each domain transfer, Namecheap will tack on an additional year – so that’s two full years of registration for only $3.98. Eligible domains include: .COM, .NET, .ORG, .BIZ, and .INFO.
  • Use coupon code, MYDDHOST15, to receive 50% off all shared hosting plans.

Donation Info:

For every domain transferred or hosting plan purchased, up to 10,000, Namecheap will donate $0.50 to the Electronic Frontier Foundation. The donation amount goes up to $1.00 per domain/hosting plan if we exceed 10,000. And if we exceed 20,000 domains transferred/hosting plans purchased, Namecheap will donate $1.50 for each transaction.
