Here’s bad news for those of us who regularly used GoDaddy coupon codes to save on domain registrations. Unfortunately, GoDaddy has changed the way they accept coupon codes. Gone are the days when you could use multiple coupons for $0.99 or $1.99 .COM registrations. Now, each GoDaddy account is limited to only one coupon usage per type of coupon: $0.99, $1.99, $2.49, and so on… For domainers, this is a big deal. Domainers and business owners alike, were saving big money on new domain registrations.
From GoDaddy’s perspective, I understand why they made the change… a lot of people, including me, were taking advantage of this “loophole”. However, I’m not sure if this was a good move for GoDaddy because there are a few registrars out there still offering $0.99 .COM registrations for the first year. They could potentially lose business to those other registrars still offering the $0.99 promotional deals. I guess time will tell.
So, is there an alternative to GoDaddy’s $0.99 deals? Check out this coupon site for some of the cheapest domain registration deals on the web.
Know of any other great deals or promotions? Please let me know and I will update.
The .com code on that page doesn’t work…….
Brad, are you referring to the domain.com code? If so, sorry I will have to udpate the page with some active promotions.
I think 1&1 is still offering .COMs for $0.99.
Hi,
You say that multiple coupons of the same value won’t work anymore.
But if I use, for example, one of 99 cent coupon, one of $1.49, one of $2.49 etc – it’s ok?
Daniel.
Hi Daniel,
Yes, that is correct. You can use the $0.99 coupon once, $1.49 once, $2.49 once, and so on and so forth.
Also, each coupon code is good for one domain at a time, so you must check out with only one .COM in the cart.
